Control of quality and fabrication technology Print E-mail

The selection of logs for loghouse building is performed first visually from the available wood. Then the suitable logs are selected for the second time at the disposal place. Their diameters are measured with the forest caliper. As follows chosen logs are moved to the manipulation stock of our company where are verified another time. The logs have to satisfy the most strict quality criteria. Usually only 1 half of the logs which passed the first selection in the concrete forest locality are used for loghomes building. The chosen logs selected for the building of loghouses is immediately treated by impregnation spray against the pests and whole manipulation stock is protected by pheromone traps. We use the logs with median diameter of 200 - 400 mm depending on the purpose that every loghouse should fulfill and on the climatic conditions in the place of mounting.

We standardly recommend the diameter of 300 mm which satisfies the current European standard of the energetic losses. Thermal resistance of rest parts of construction like the windows, doors, floors, ceilings and roof are designed to satisfy the present European standard of energetic losses.

1. Logs dedicated to loghomes building are barked in a traditional way - manually with special tools. This way keeps the logs naturally curved and convergent and therefore loghome looks very naturalistic. Marginal year rings of the logs remain on the surface and form the most dense layer of the wooden mass. It´s visible on the vertical cut of the log. These marginal year rings ensure the stability, firmness and durability (lifetime) of the wood.

 2. A drain in the log is manually milled and cleaned up. The logs are numbered in order they are assembled.

 3. The first log is cut longitudinally to sit corretly on the background prism, which is separated from the foundations by hydroinsulation. The top of the priming prism is covered by thermic insulation, which is consequently covered by the first layer of logs.

 4. The rest of logs are put on the previous and between them is the thermoisolating material. Glass wool, sheep`s fleece or flax stripe are used as an insulation. Thanks to insulation all the interstices are eliminated.

Process of installation on the customer“s building plot: Print E-mail

1. Numbered logs are discharged of the vehicle and are composed in the order they were made at the assembling area of the maker. The first cut log is put on the insulated priming prism.

 2. Walls are grinded and cleaned from a dust. The wood is impregnated with the protective spray against the pests then. When the spray dries, the first pain coat of basic oil paint is put on the walls. Finally we put one glaze coat of natural colour in the interior and two glaze coats of natural colour in the exterior. All the used paints are ecological and based on natural oil.
